Isaacs Fury
G-BZAS
A scaled down version of the Hawker Fury.
Isaacs Fury G-BZAS was originally built in the early 2000s and was the only example to be fitted with the CAM 100 engine. It unfortunately suffered a major incident in 2009 having only flown 25 hours. The aeroplane was disassembled and stored whilst a damage assessment was made. Since the incident, a new set of wings have been manufactured along with a new fin and rudder.
She was purchased by The Somerset Aeroplane Company in February of 2020 and is now based in Somerset. She has been repainted to represent a Hawker Nimrod which operated with 802 squadron on HMS Glorious.
Final restoration work is currently underway at The Somerset Aeroplane Company to return her to the skies after 13 years grounded.
